State Bar of Texas Meets Texas Hill Country

March 15, 2013

Each year the State Bar of Texas 26th Annual Construction Law Conference offers a unique opportunity to immerse attendees in Texas culture and construction law, and this year was no exception. The Westin La Cantera and the conference organizers provided a high-end experience from lodging to meals to speakers. Conference attendees experienced the scenic Texas hill country while catching up with industry colleagues, learning the newest in construction law, and enjoying a Texas-sized time.
After recovering from a day of golf and receptions Wednesday night, the conference kicked off Thursday morning with section chair, William K. Andrews’s welcome, followed by the Case Law Update. The day continued on with beneficial session covering topics from damages, delays, and disputes to liens, insurance, and evidence.

With the largest attendance in the conference’s history, Friday delivered another day of successful networking and informational sessions. Breakfast Breakouts consisting of small group focus sessions started the day off on the right foot. After hearing sessions on litigation strategy, drafting, and defect claims, the conference wrapped up with an ethics session on tort claims in construction cases.

As an attendee and sponsor of this event, Interface Consulting continues to enjoy the benefits provided by this conference including the opportunity to build relationships with industry colleagues, clients, and friends. If you missed out on the conference this year, we hope to see you there in 2014!
