Interface President Delivers Presentation on Construction Claims and Disputes

On Thursday, May 12, 2011, Interface Consulting President and Principal Consultant Frank Adams, PE, spoke to a gathering of construction industry professionals at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Houston River Oaks in Houston, Texas. The diverse audience of project managers, contract managers, engineers, and executives, among others, listened to Mr. Adams present the “Top Seven Construction Claim and Dispute Issues,” with first-hand anecdotes from his more than 35 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries.

The presentation was part of a one-day seminar held by Lorman Education Services entitled, “Fundamentals of Construction Contracts: Understanding the Issues in Texas.” Other speakers for the event included Charles Comiskey, of Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates; Christopher Farrar, Esq., of Dewey & LeBoeuf; Gavin McGee, Esq., of M. Gavin McGee, PLLC; Matt Moore, Esq., of Andrews Myers, PC; and Brian Tagtmeier, Esq. Topics discussed included contract terms, project delivery systems, change orders and constructive change directives, residential contracts, and insurance.

Attendees of the event were able to earn continuing education credits, including Construction Compliance (CC), Continuing Professional Education (CPE), Project Management Institute (PMI), and Texas engineer (TX ENG) credits.
